Ulavi Caves
Ulvi (Ullavi) Caves are a bunch of caves in the Uttara Karnataka District of Karnataka. They offer a continuous circuit of trekking trails that allows you to explore gloriously dark rock caverns in a single day. The six known caves of Ulvi are situated in a tiger reserve and near it is Ulvi village.
Despite this, you do not need permission as this region is also a well known pilgrimage and religious destination. Most devotees are making their way to the Channabasaveshwara Temple; incidentally, this is where your trail begins. Two kilometers away from the temple, or a downhill trek from the watchtower, brings you to Haralayana Chilume, a natural spring considered religious especially by the Lingayat sect of Hinduism.
You have no cause for concern as all trails on this popular trek are well defined; in fact signboards have been placed intermittently to guide you on your way.
